Obituary of Frank A Hervey Sr

Frank Allan Hervey, Sr., 87, passed away on December 11, 2022. Frank was born in Longmont, Colorado on August 8, 1935 to Wilbur A. (Bud) and Marie C. (VanWoensel) Hervey. He was the oldest of their 6 children with 5 sisters (Jean, Neta Mae, Ruth, Carol and Janet). Frank grew up in the Longmont area until he was 8 years old when the family moved to Arkansas and then later back to Longmont.

 

Frank joined the U.S. Navy at 19 years old and served proudly for 20 years, retiring June 14, 1974 as a Chief Petty Officer.

 

On Christmas Day, 1962, Frank met the love of his life, Judy. They married on July 24, 1963. Frank and Judy have 3 children; Frank Jr., Troy and Danielle.

 

Frank enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking and his grandkids.

 

Frank is preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters (Jean, Neta Mae, Carol and Janet) and his grandson Derek Hervey.

 

He is survived by his wife, Judy; all of his children, Frank Jr. (Michelle) of Blue Springs MO, Troy (Melanie) of Firestone CO and Danielle (Marc) Wood of Moorcroft WY; grandchildren Garrett and Lane Wood; Morgan, Mollie and Jadyn Hervey; and 1 sister, Ruth (Paul) Krauskopf of Las Cruces, NM.
