Obituary of Johnny Murillo

Tribute Johnny Murillo Sr. age 69, Our Papa gained his wings peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home, on Monday June 20, 2022. Johnny was born on June 29, 1952 in Orange County, California to Beatrice Valenzuela, and John Murillo. He moved his family from Perris California, to Longmont Colorado in 1993, where he retired from Custom Fence in 2005. An Avid Denver Bronco Fan, Johnny enjoyed watching football, fishing, camping, gardening, listening to oldies, and blues, most of all he loved spending time with his family. A stern man, yet a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A legend, a super hero, Johnny was loved and respected, by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. His children will remember him as a hardworking man; he gave tough love, yet would jump to help in good times, and bad. Johnny was a father, and grandfather to his grandchildren, he was always accepting of the challenges brought forth being a pillar for his large family. Johnny loved giving his kids, and grandkids candy, one remembered by all is the Pixie Stix, he never came home without candy. His loving wife, Patsy Anzures, survives Johnny, he met Patsy in June of 1976, after 25 years of love, they tied the knot in Longmont Colorado, on March 23, 1997, and they were partners for 46 years. Patsy enjoyed her alone time with Johnny, however when it got too quiet, they wondered, “Where’s all the noise?” She admires him for overcoming his struggles, and making sure, he put his family first. Johnny is also survived by one son, Johnny Murillo Jr. 7 daughter’s, Gayla Murillo, Christina Murillo, Angela Murillo, Mandy Murillo, Nana Murillo, December Murillo, and Kiki Murillo. Two sisters, Bonnie Vasquez, and Dora Reyes. Three brothers, Ray Torres, Toni Nerida, and Steve Torres. 22 grandchildren, and 4 great granddaughters. Preceded in death by his loving daughter Loni Murillo, who gained her wings on November 13 2018, his loving parents, many sisters, and brothers. Johnny felt love, was never alone, not on a regular day, or on his last days on this earth, he left with pride knowing his family loved, and cared for him up until his last breath, he will be deeply missed, and always remembered.
