Obituary of Homer Clark Lewis

Tribute Homer Clark Lewis, formerly from Byron, Illinois and of late from Firestone, Colorado has passed away. He was born on January 21, 1929 and passed on May 20, 2022. His parents, Isabelle (Knox) Lewis and Homer Clark Lewis Sr. and younger sister, Mary (Lewis) Hatchett preceeded him in death. He was born in Mason City, Iowa and grew up in Byron, Illinois. He was in the Army from 1951 to 1953 and once out of the Service, attended and graduated from Iron Workers College. When his wife Louella VanKauren, (no children) and his parents passed away, he retired to Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. Then he met and married Darlene Eddy and gained a family. He was busy in this new life making a variety of wooden objects in his big workshop; checking irrigation ditches making sure they were operating correctly; was on the Lions Club Board working on their pancake breakfast each year; worked for the Fox Acres Golf Course; President of the High Country Estates HOA. He loved living in the mountains and his life there. Homer will be inurned at 11:30 a.m. on May 30, 2022, Fort Logan Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Ave., Denver, Colorado. Family and friends are welcome.
