Obituary of Gary Eugene Lamb

Tribute Gary Eugene Lamb 66, of Westminster, CO, was called to his heavenly home on March 9, 2022. He was born June 18, 1955 at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, MD, the beloved son of Lawrence and Betty(Klink) Lamb. In 1958 their family moved to Wilmington, IL where Gary attended Northcrest and Central elementary schools, and graduated from Wilmington High School, Class of 1973. He furthered his education at Northern Illinois University earning a B.S. Degree in 1977. Upon graduation he accepted a job at Rocky Flats Plant and moved to the Denver, CO area. He quickly embraced the outdoor activities, such as snow and water skiing, running and hiking and chose to make that his permanent home. He worked in Plastics starting in the 80s, as a project manager, most of his career. During this time he managed to go back to Regis University and receive his Masters Degree in Business. Gary and Mary (Boerner) fell in love and were married May 21, 1993. They were happily married for 28 1/2 years until his passing. Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Lamb, of Westminster, CO; His children Matthew (Karin) Irvin, of Broomfield; Breeanna (Michael) Irvin, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Rachel (Matt) Irvin of Denver, Co; Zachary Lamb, of Salt Lake City Utah; Rebekah Lamb, Cami Lamb, Denae Lamb and Emma Lamb, all of Westminster, CO. His mother, Betty Lamb of Kewanee, IL; sisters Debra (Bruce) Bley of Sterling, IL, and Cathy (Drew) Schillinger of Geneseo, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and uncle as well as friend. He was a stand-up guy, quiet, someone who loved to work on things; like cars and constantly fixing anything that needed fixing. He was Christian, who loved God and lived his life with that motto. He loved Nascar, football and baseball and his sweet dog Blue.
