Obituary of Karen K Kramer

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Karen K. Pratt Kramer on June 20th, 2023. 

 

Karen was born April 9, 1941 to Harold E. and Anna M. Pratt in Longmont, CO.

 

Karen was a devoted Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was a 4th generation native and pillar of strength in our community. Karen was a lifelong volunteer and knew the importance of giving back and had a passion for helping those less fortunate. She was instrumental in several organizations of service and charity. She was one of the original founders of A Woman's Work. This organization was founded to help women in need. She was overjoyed with the 20th Anniversary this Spring knowing A Woman's Work had donated more than 2.5 Million.   There were other organizations she was dedicated to, including Sunshine Club, Tiny Tim, Rotary Club and Longmont Community Foundation.

 

Karen started her own Interior Design business in the 1970's. She was passionate about design and spent over 40 years being influential to other women in business. 

 

Karen found happiness in her love of Golf, Travel, Puzzles and spending time with her family and countless friends.  She was always up for a party. Her smile was infectious and welcomed everyone with open arms. 

 

She was survived by her daughters; Melinda Hammers of Longmont; Allison Neal (Brad) of Firestone.  Grandchildren; Kayla Schmitz (Clint) of Arvada; Jordon Sanchez (Diana) of Platteville; Calle Crabtree (Zack) of Aurora and Jamie Neal of Kansas City. Great Grandchildren; Henry, Kennady and Blakely. Several nieces, nephews and countless friends.

 

She was proceeded in death by her parents; Harold and Anna Pratt; brother; Kenneth Pratt, Sister-in-Law Susan Pratt; her son; Mark, Great Grandson; Holden and Husband; Mike

 

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Faith Community Lutheran Church, 9775 Ute Highway, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Interment will follow in the Pratt Family Cemetery in Longmont. A reception will follow from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Karens Home.
