His four Grandsons Isaiah Michael Higgins, Elijah Mitchell Higgins, James Paul Higgins and Trinh Jarvis Higgins. His mother Joan DuVall Swink. His father Stanley Higgins. His brother Bryan Higgins. He was born September 8th 1956 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Denver Colorado and Owasso Oklahoma. He raised horses as a child and participated in shows and rodeos. In high school he was an award-winning wrestler. Then worked at an exotic pet shop (where he got his monkey, snakes, and exotic fish and love for aquariums) when he was a young teenager with the store owner/mentor/best friend Ron Fell. He then went on to learn the brick block and stone trade from his father. He met Jannene in jr. high school and they started their 51 year relationship. They married in 1975 and had their first daughter Renae in 1978 and their second child Teresa in 1980. From 1977 until 2007 he was a stone mason and built many buildings around the Denver metro area and Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Washington dc area. Retired in 2007 due to back injury on the job.

He was a very family-oriented man. He spent his days hanging out with his grandsons anytime he could get the chance. He raised and bred dogs. He loved loud music of all genres. He loved wolves. He loved rare things and oddities. He was a collector of memorabilia. He had a big sense of humor and could be a funny guy or rule with an iron fist when it came to taking care of business. He was a very generous man who would offer you anything he had if you needed it.

He will be greatly missed by those who really knew him.

His celebration of life will be on his 67th birthday at Great Scotts on September 8th 2023 from 4 to 7.  The address is 1295 Cortez St, Denver, Co. 80221. Please join us in celebrating his life.
