Obituary of EJ Worden

Euclid John Worden known as E.J. to family and friends sadly left this world on Saturday, October 14, 2023. During his last days, he was surrounded by the comfort and support of loved ones.

E.J. was born on July 9, 1971, in Aspen, Colorado to Dora Rodriguez (Chavez) and preceded in death by John Lyon Worden. E.J. is the oldest of four surviving siblings through his father, John. He was and is loved by a large family with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in which he established strong bonds and relationships with many of them. He had a big heart, willingness to always be there for those he loved, and being an all-around jokester. His humor was evident even during his last days with numerous stories and jesters.

Through the years, E.J. worked in various industries such as a business owner of a print and graphic company and as an event organizer. He was well known and awarded for setting up the People’s Fair in Denver for several years. Nevertheless, his primary love was being a musician. E.J.’s love for rock and metal music influenced his dream to be a drummer. His attraction to the drums began as a child and transformed into becoming a self-taught drummer for multiple bands: Burgundy Brown, Millionaire Freaks, Honest Ingin, and Hippie Werewolves. As a teenager, E.J. traveled across the country playing at clubs known for infamous rock performers. The family he created with his bandmates and passion for drumming continued until the end, notably he was even seen drumming in his sleep!

The memories of E.J. will be cherished by all he loved and those that love him. He will be missed dearly and held forever in our hearts.

E.J. Worden is survived by his mother Dora Rodriguez, stepfather Israel Rodriguez, and siblings: Adam, Brandy, Aubrey, and Andrew Worden.
