Obituary of Charla Janet Sherman

Born August 14th, 1937 to Charles and Lucile Sherman in Niwot.  A pioneer family, Charla attended Niwot grade school and graduated from Longmont High School in 1955.  After graduating from High School, Charla worked at JC Penney.  After working for JC Penney, Charla then started her career in bookkeeping working for several local Car Dealerships including Vondenkamp Pontiac, Long Pontiac, Valley Nissan, and Valley Hyundai.  A life long 50 year member of High Country Chapter of the Sweet Adelines Chorus, Charla loved to sing and traveled throughout the world to compete in local and international competitions.  Growing up, Charla was member of the Niwot Methodist Church and was also a long term member of the Niwot Grange.  Also a skilled bowler, Charla bowled in the Longmont Leagues, maintained a 220 average, and one time bowled an almost a perfect game of 279.   Charla was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucille, and sister, Beverly Scobee.  She is survived by a niece, LuAnn Campbell, her husband, Tom, great nieces, Cristi Campbell, and Heather Quattlebaum and families, and numerous cousins.  Contributions can be made to the Niwot Cemetery Association in ℅ David Hindman, 6060 Niwot Road, Longmont, CO  80503.  A graveside service will be held at the Hygiene cemetery at 10:30am on November 4^th with a reception following at LuAnn and Tom’s house
